Security system is not only a password for log on, fingerprint and face detection. In Indonesia there are many vendors that offer facility more than that. Besides having the three security system there are also many vendor bundled another security to protect notebook.
Take FUJITSU Corporation for example. On every kind of laptop, besides relying on fingerprint, they supply with several supporting security sytem. Security bios are installed to support the safety of a laptop and their software. And also FUJITSU introducing an anti-theft package consist of a key and a string or rope for avoiding a thief stealing the laptop. That goes for FUJITSU, they are also other company that offers another security system such as Front Door Software and now we will find out more about their product.
Well, an interesting fact was found again. A few moments ago laptop users are offered a new security system. It is called retriever, taken from a thoroughbred dog named Golden retriever which is a best friend of human. This software will yell “Thief” when someone steals someone’s laptop.
A software development company Front Door Software releases this anti-thief application, last February. The software retriever is able to yell “help” when a thief accidentally put in the wrong password on the stolen laptop. When the laptop is lost then the laptop will come up with a sound of “Help, this laptop is reported lost or stolen” as the thief failed to enter the password. Moreover the laptop screen will show the information of the true owner every 30 second while yelling a warning message.
Besides the warning message, if the laptop is active and yell, automatically the laptop will begin to search Wi-Fi network to give information about where the laptop is to Front Door websites. The owner of this laptop will soon be easy to find their laptop.
